Honeymooning

I am BEYOND excited to share this adventure with you all!

For our Honeymoon we ventured to the great country of the Dominican Republic & stayed at the most beautiful resort that just opened in November 2016, Secrets Cap Cana.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a fabulous glass of champagne, followed by a VIP cart ride to our side of the resort, The Preferred Club. If you travel here, this is the way to go. We had personalized check-ins & check-outs, upgraded mini bar, pillow menu, private Preferred Club lounge/bar, private pool & beach with cabanas, private restaurants and our own personal 24 hour butler, Antonio!

The beaches were gorgeous along with the crystal clear water. The fact that we traveled in June, we hit the month of seaweed. Fun Fact: seaweed hits the beach only in the summer months and is completely clear in the winter months.

One thing Jared was adamant about was we go somewhere where the food was good. We have traveled to all-inclusive resorts tons of times and have never been satisfied with the food choices. Secrets Cap Cana has over 7 restaurants to choose from and the food was outstanding. They offer Italian, Mexican, French & Asian cuisine along with the best, fresh seafood on this side of the Atlantic.

We spent most our days at the beach and the AMAZING wrap around pool that connected to the private Preferred Club Restaurant, Rosewater.

These Beruse Towels are so amazing. The quality and adorable designs are to die for. Huge thank you to them for sending me off with this Aztec Towel!

We did 2 excursions while we were there. We spent the afternoon on Saona Island where  we traveled to and from on a catamaran singing despacito and swam with starfish and stingrays.

Our second excursion was my favorite, swimming with our new pals Iza & Curaco. I’m telling you these animals are so smart and so cute. If my bath tub was only a little bigger…

The last night of our honeymoon, Jared planned the cutest dinner on the beach. We had the best surf & turf until mid bite, a tropical storm came flying through. We managed to save our bottle of wine and made memories of a lifetime.

I highly, highly recommend checking this resort out as I was more than impressed!

Stay tuned for the full wedding day recap and all the behind the scenes of wedding planning!

Thank you Shein for sponsoring this post*

xoxo
